Default When to start ttc for #2

    Hi all,
Mum of one here, just wondering how long you waited before ttc #2. Going private next time so I'm trying to work out a rough time frame (i'll have a 12 month waiting period for PHI). What's a good gap between children? We're planning on just having two children, so closer in age would be best I think. Ds is 5months old.

    Thanks

Hi! You're in the same boat as me. My DS is nearly 5 months. We too would like 2 children.

My Ob suggested a minimum of 12 months between babies for me as I had a CS. I think we will start ttc again mid-late this year. I can't leave it too late, as I will be 35 this year! In an ideal world I'd like a bit more of a gap, but I'm aware age is not on my side & it may take longer next time round. If all goes to plan, we'll have a 20 month -2 year gap. If it ends up being less, so be it!

I guess it depends on your age & other circumstances as to how long you leave it between bubs.

    Hi!
Wow very similar to me!! I'm thinking the same thing, mid to late next year. Some people have said " no, don't do it. Wait till they can help or are out of nappies" while others have said "Just do it, if your only having two a closer gap is better".
My sister and I are only 18months apart and we've been great friends so I think 20+months would be perfect. Hubby wants to start now, no way!!!
