Default When did your newborn respond to sounds?

Our dd is 7 weeks and doesn't seem to be responding to sounds. Every now an then she will respond to very loud sounds (like loud thunder claps) but want turn her head when we talk to her. Is this something I should be worries about or is it normal? Kind of concerned about it.

Yeah she did. Which is why I'm not sure if it's normal or not.

My DD is 3 weeks today and has been looking around at sounds for a while now (mainly her big sister being noisy, sounds from the Telly, and us talking to her/clicking etc).
If you're worried ask them to test her hearing/ears again and see how she goes

I don't remember dd being very responsive as a newborn. She could sleep through anything and wasn't interacting with our voices until maybe 3 months? They will check ears at 8 week check so I'm sure it's nothing, but you can bring it up and they can organise another test.....

Ok. That makes me feel a little better. I will bring it up when I take her for her 8 week check up. Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but I thought she would be responding to us by now.
