    Default Harmony test

I am having the Harmony test next week (at 10 weeks) and have been told it is $520. Can anyone tell me if any of this is rebateable via medicare or PHI or is it all out of pocket?

    Many thanks

FWIW, I haven't had it so I'm not speaking from complete experience but when I was offered it last year when pregnant with DD, I was told it was non Medicare rebatable. That it was entirely out of pocket.

I had one a couple of months ago and it is not rebatable (either medicare or PHS)... however mine cost $850 (through monash melb) and although for me the price wasn't an issue for the peace of mind - I think the cost associated with an amnio or CVS can add up pretty quickly anyway.
    Good luck!

    Nup, not rebateable.

I had the iGene screen done in about March last year (when these tests were first being introduced to Aus) and it was $1350!

Thanks everyone. I didnt think I got anything back but just wanted to check.

I was originally told the test was $1250 so I was quite surprised when I booked it in and was told it was only $520. That is with Sydney Ultrasound for Women.
