Sorry, but I think you need to alter your statement here. You may be a judgemental teacher, but there are plenty that do not judge parents if their child has an accident!!

I'm glad that you are not part of my children's educational experience because with that attitude I would imagine you wouldn't be a great role model!

Sorry but speak for yourself. We don't all judge, some of us seek to understand.

I wouldn't let my children of either age go to a public toilet alone. But I do feel very sorry for the parents and the children If I walked into a female toilet and a man was waiting in there i would definitely be doing something about it. Too many public toilets in my area I've noticed are being used as sexual hook up points for gay men. Nothing at all against gay people generally/ it's just something I've noticed in the last few years. And these toilets are at parks with swings and picnic areas for families! Scary..

To me equal blame is with the sick ***** who did this and the justice system. I haven't read anything on it, but I'd bet my last dollar he's done it before, has been jailed for it and let out after a measley 18 or so months.

Someone steals money from the work, or insider trading etc gets a much higher sentence than someone violently ripping away a young persons childhood. Sexual perpetrators should have the book thrown at them. They should never be allowed out of prison again. The man (let's not forget men get raped too), woman or child raped gets a life sentence. So why the hell should the scum that did it ever be let out in public again???
Agreed. Those children will never be the same again. Their world has changed irrevocably Men like this get off far too lightly!

I really feel sorry for these kids. I hope the family don't beat themselves up about it. Kids can be playing in a playground and vanish in an instant. For all we know the kids could have been playing hide and seek in the toilets.. this man is SICK. Some men need to be castrated. It's disgusting.

I am saying that as teachers we make judgements on what we see
    Not actual accidents
This is to clarify what I was trying to say

I don't think we know the full story here, were any of you there? Do any of you know the full situation surrounding this happening? Were the parents having to care for other children? There are so many facts missing. While you can be sure you wouldn't let your child go in there alone you don't know this family nor the reasons surrounding the parents making this decision.

Even if there were no other factors, just that the parents let their guard down. I'm sure those parents are beating themselves up enough, they don't need it from total strangers.

I hope this sick man is caught and given the punishment he deserves.

You cannot blame the parents, they have committed NO crime.

The evil scum sucking monster who preyed upon these children is the ONLY person to blame - he chose to commit a crime.

To blame the parents, to even question why the children were in the toilets on their own is a form of (typical) victim blaming.

A pool/dam/beach is a different scenario and to even raise that as a comparison is reducing the blame on the monster.
