    Congratulations! I know it's all so confusing. I remember for my first pregnancy my gp was hopeless and I came out of my first appointment crying because I was so confused by it allThankfully got it a bit more sorted second time round!

    Whoops I pressed send before finishing....

    I went public for my first and am going for my second too. Maybe call your local public hospital and ask them what programs they run? I know ours runs two clinics. One is a 'hospital clinic' overseen by the hospital OB and you get to meet them on one appt, but the rest of the appointments is with a midwife (whoever is working that day). They other clinic is a midwife only clinic and you get to see the same midwife for your appointments and they're present at th birth as well.
