Oh you poor thing, so sorry to read that. Probably best to have a break and think things through, the good thing with egg donation is that the panic about time and 'old eggs' is gone. Wishing you all the best, you've had a rough time of it xx

Michdynasty... very sorry to hear that. Take some time to spoil yourself and come to terms, though I always find getting myself a new plan always helps to get back to "normal".

AFM..... had an u/s this morning and my lining is perfectly ready 11mm (thanks to those little Ethinylestradiol tablets I've been taking). My sister had her u/s too this morning - there are 8 follicles on the right, with the left hiding, so perhaps a couple more there. They measured 5 of the 8 they did see and they range from 14-18, so they'll keep her going another two days and do another u/s on Wed. Plus at the moment her hormone is about 1500 so they want to see that higher to get more mature eggs. Let's hope Wednesday gets everything lined up, then EPU for her would be Friday.

Hey ladies. I'm not a recipient but want to be a donor in the future. Just curious, I read that majority of u go overseas for it, is there a reason why women go overseas to receive instead of getting it in Australia? Thanks!

Hi Brooke, for me it was a bit more control over the process and choice of donor etc. There's a lot of waiting with the Australian laws too, we also got a fantastic holiday and the price was comparable to doing a cycle here. It's a wonderful thing your doing though and many women are not comfortable with the anonymous aspect of overseas egg donors, so it's not for everyone.
