@MustRemainPositive I am going to conceptions in Hawaii and so I s @jackbenimble.

I looked into sdfc but they were so much more expensive again and I have to admit that the idea of a holiday in San Diego didn't appeal to me- I know it's not about a holiday, but you have to do something between first visit, epu and transfer!

I have found the clinic very easy to deal with, they explain things clearly and respond very quickly.

They seem to have a range of donors, but be careful, anyone from the mainland could add about $5-6k More on top of the cost and the exchange rate is terrible!

Conceptions have about an 80% success rate and were highly recommended by my fs. They don't have the success guarantee that sdfc have, but there is a lot of fine print with that guarantee so I think it might be difficult to actually get.

In all of this I say go with your gut. Have a look at the donors on both sites, you may find one jumps out at you. I do like the fact the U.S. Sites show baby and adult pics

I have paid for a new donor, next & last cycle in Oct...not ideal having two different donors but that's our lot I guess.

@emski72 good luck, October will come around super fast. Just remember, we get the right child, no matter which way we go about it, the one we receive is the one we were meant to get!

    Hi Everyone,

Chatting with Hawaii tomorrow morning so hope it goes well. I emailed SDFC a week ago and they finally got back to me. Wasn't impressed. If i'm going to give you all this money, I want service (and a BFP! )

I've been on Hawaii's donor database and there is a donor on there that looks like a good match. So we'll see how it all goes.

    wish me luck!

    Hi Everyone,

Chat with Conceptions went really well and they have a donor that looks promising. Adrian is really easy to talk to (as previously mentioned by other members)...answered all my questions and very responsive . The only thing that's making me hesitate is that a good friend of mine went there and had a bad experience with them. I know it may be just 1 but when you only have 1 chance at something, you want to make sure it works.

I'm not going to go with SDFC so Conceptions is it...unless anyone else can recommend another clinic to investigate. Might give my clinic a ring and see if there is anyone else that my FS works closely with.

@ Chiefsgirl...have you left yet? I am giddy with excitement for you!

Are you willing to look at other countries? If so there are plenty of excellent clinics in the Czech Republic, South Africa and Greece and these countries have active threads here so you could take a peek

@MustRemainPositive I'm still here leave in 16 days!

Do you mind sharing what happened with your friend? Pm me if you prefer. It won't change anything as we're all paid up, but will let me know what to look out for.

I'd think Greece would be out now with all the financial turmoil the country is in.
