Oooh Lozby! That's such lovely news! Congrats on your BFP I only did two BT's I think, then the US at 6 weeks (it was an early US due to bleeding but we did see a heartbeat thank goodness!). Wishing you skyrocketing HCG results to celebrate the new year

Lozby... it seems most clinics only do two BTs as standard, but I asked for the third and it wasn't a problem. But then my immune specialist wants me to have one a week until 9-10 weeks so he can monitor my progesterone levels, so I'm doing those through a local path lab. Not complaining about having weekly updates :-))

Hi Petalsgalore, I'm just wondering which overseas clinic you used. My partner and I have done 6 IVF cycles between us (same sex couple). We too would like to use a clinic that allows us to negotiate a 'known donor' but are finding that most overseas options are completely anonymous. If you wouldn't mind letting us know where you went, we would really appreciate it.
The idea of being on a waiting list for years feels very daunting as we have been on this journey for so long already and just want to make our family. Thanks so much for your sharing.. Bne mums

Bnemums - have you looked out the South Africa clinics? Eg cape fertility? They are popular with many bubhubbers and have had a lot of success, you get to pick your own donor from photos and profiles. Or by known donor do you mean you want to have contact with the donor?

    Hi Chiefsgirl,
Good for you re going to the U.S.
I wondered that too but in the end it doesn't matter. I'm O+ and my donor was A- I think which is rare. So far so good with me.
