    Hi ladies,

Any FS should be able to simply do your scans and write scripts for you.
I get my blood tests done at the gp. The only bloods I get is to check I didn't ovulate on the progynova and ofcourse the preggie test. I don't get bloods done at my ivf clinic as I'm not doing the cycle with them. Is it true in some states FS are charging thousands to monitor you on a donor cycle !?? Terrible if true! The FS overseas monitors you so charging. $$$ is simply wrong!

Hi Emski how are things going. Nice you are checking in.
Amfm- hope that fluid stays away. I agree having a few months break benefits your lining. I had 2 periods in between and my lining got to 9mm before t/fer.
I put it down to copious amounts of pomegranate juice and added estradiol patches as well as progynova.
anyhow have done my head in analysing!
Been laying low as started bleeding a few days before my blood test today.
Breasts have deflated and pos had a faint double line but much more fainter the next day. I'm pretty sure I've got a chemical pregnancy.
To make matters worse I got 2 colds - one before transfer and 3 days later another. And I'm on immune meds. I'm sure it means all my nk killer cells would have come out to fight the cold virus and maybe the embryo
So not expecting a positive outcome.

I need to investigate FET protocols to pray this works on the next one!!
    fingers crossed for everyone.

    Hi ladies,

Just updating - i had spotting 7 days past transfer then a bleed like a light period.
Ive read that's 'common and normal' in ivf but really felt like it was my period. Resigned to the fact it didn't work again and couldn't be bothered taking anymore Clexane - painful needles
Cervix (tmi) felt hard and big like before my period.

Had my blood test....... SHOCK a BFP!!! Hcg 132
OMG.. No pregnancy feelings at all!
It really seems to happen when I've got on with life and thinking it's all over.
have a cautiously excited 12 weeks ahead.
We are eternally grateful for our donor.

Ivf battles you down but keep getting up if you can and soldier through.
Wishing everyone a positive soon x

Great news Petals! I also had some bleeding early on.
Brilliant news on your hcg level too - you must have got the shock of your life when the results came in!

Petals.... that's absolutely fabulous news - big congratulations. Maybe I've missed your back story - I see that you had a couple of unsuccessful attempts with a donor, and now this is a new donor. Can I ask if there was an age difference between these two donors? Or any other factors that you think may have played a part?

AFM.... saw my endocrinologist today and he's happy that he can get my thyroid back to normal before FET in four weeks time. He will do a BT four days before FET, and if not good then he will recommend that we can postpone another month. That all sounds well, but will IVFA let me cancel four days before the FET? I'll have to ring them tomorrow and find out.

Heartfelt thanks McBertie, Emski and Butterfly.

Emski - hope you are going along well with yours! Ok yeh bleeding a bit scary hey. All ceased since I switched from crinone to Progesterone Oil so far.

Butterfly - Best of luck with your new FS. It can make a world of difference. Every time we changed FS it worked!. so goodluck.

MCG Bertie - They should only need a days notice if that to defrost your embies and do a transfer, so if you need to cancel 4 days before hand it should be fine.
Its hard to wait I know, but when you get it all 'right' then you know you are giving it your most optimum chance. Fingers crossed on a great FET coming up!
Yes I've been more a reader than poster here and prefer to be discrete since doing donor eggs. However below is some background.pm if you need anything

AFM - We did our successful donor eggs in Thailand after seeing a lady in the newspaper with her twins. Had 2 x 5 Day Blastocysts transferred. We wish we did this earlier as you can see - success on 1st fresh cycle. We did however spend a year doing egg donation in another Asian country where they were doing mainly day 3 transfers. Nothing wrong with that - our 1st child was a 3 day transfer. However when spending $$ travelling back and forth many times, it really needs to be blastocyst. Embryos can look perfect at day 3 but they may not be and they may not make it to blast stage. I'm sure you guys know all this.
This donor was 23years, and was proven and between my first ED and FET's another IP was also pregnant with her eggs. Hmm not me. I seriously questioned if my womb was a problem as had some lining issues that came. Anyhow sobbed so hard in the FS room like never before!

We chose a 23 year old donor for Thailand, proven. Things I did differently I swear helped (had problems with prolonged periods due to long time doing oestrogen and thin lining)
Asked my FS for Estradiol patches 100iu on top of my 8mg progynova.
Hot water bottle every night during meds. The night before transfer and stopped for transfer day. No more in TWW. For circulation.
Pomegranate juice!. Litres of it a day during meds.
Raspberry Tea leaf 2 cups per day. Stopped a few days before T/fer
Gave up on my relaxation for ivf cds!
    Didn't have acupuncture!
Ate warm foods for lunch and dinner. Chinese medicine believe good for fertility chi.
Asked my Divine Guides for help daily.

I'm on the immune meds. Its good to be on them as it covers any area in case your body does attack the embryo. I was tested years ago, don't have high NK cells but take them anyway so I've covered all basis.

Its so hard to know what did it. I really thought it would not work because I got a bad cold before and after transfer. And I put my back out the day before transfer and could hardly walk! All weird hey. Very Very unexpected so I know it's been said before but my FS says here - when its your time, its your time.
And I'm not a spring chicken!..

Will be thinking of all you special ladies and praying your new soul comes sooner more than later.

Congratulations Petals! I've just seen your update.

I'd be interested in hearing more about your experiences in Thailand vs other Asian countries for DE treatment. DH and I are considering Asia for DE.

Em, Bertie, Butterfly, hope you have a good day

    Hi Springrain,
I wouldn't hesitate going to Thailand. Their clinics over their all do Blastocyst
day 5 transfers. There are agencies that have westerners or Caucasian egg donors that come from South Africa and other Countries as well as their Thai egg donors.
I found a lot of info from eggdonationaustralia forums. There are some Australian ladies that went over to Thailand to donate eggs to their IP (due to PGD for sex selection I assume ) so I got the name of clinics.

Communication can be slow direct with clinics their so just ring them.
We went with All IVF. Dr Pisit.
There is also SAFE FERTILITY. Dr Wiwat. Both are very popular with overseas IPs. These are the ones I know of.
You can go direct if you understand the ivf process or through an agent.
Dont let the agent tell you egg donation is anonymous as it's not true. Many are happy to give you contact details if you wish this for a known donation.

Agents - New Life Bangkok. They are extremely busy so expect delays in getting back to your emails. Ring them it's easier. Large database you can view online now with password. Thai and Caucasian donors.
Kay & Nina - Ivf Bangkok. Very reputable. Based in Bangkok. Australian Agents below go through them for donors.
Bangkok Surrogacy (also called Becoming Parents)- Gurauv (spelling?). He is very helpful. We nearly went with him. Sent us profiles and answered enquiries within a day. Emailed us donor profiles.
Cathy Sanchez - Aust based in Bangkok. Ips happy with her. She charges $500 once you register for her to just enquire further. I personally do not agree with that. I guess it stops hundreds of people asking questions then going direct or with someone else.
Megan Sainsbury. (Perth Based)- has a website. Plse google. Very knowledgeable. Has twins through surrogacy India. Popular with surrogacy for same sex couples too.

Their was little info on bubhub in Thailand and as mentioned I found most from the other site. I hope this helps someone after years of trying, failures and little time to research forums to get your ball rolling.
Its a simple process once you chose your donor - 6 - 8 weeks!!

AFM - having another blood test this Fri to check levels. Has some more spotting . Nervous.

    Hi everyone

Just joined the forum today so am very new and wanted to drop in and say hello! (I've just linked into the South Africa and Greek egg donor threads too so you will probably see my message there too! I just want to make sure I get the daily updates!) I've started to look into the brave new world of egg donation now after several very difficult years of IVF treatments. My eggs were OK when I started and I did have a healthy little baby boy a year ago but he tragically died on the day of his birth from an umbilical cord knot..... Now, given my age and now "not unlimited finances" due to all the previous IVF cycles, the fertility specialists are telling me my best (and last) chance of a baby is with an egg donor. But I am completely overwhelmed about where to start - do I try and find a lovely donor in Australia...? or Greece....? or South Africa.....? or Thailand.....? or through the many options in the USA......? or Spain....? Yeh - will have to put my head down and do some research...... Anyway in meantime I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. Your stories give me so much hope and inspiration and honestly keep me going! Just got to figure out what direction to take to find my egg donor.... (and got to figure out how to create my signature for my posts too....) Thanks!
    Catherine
