AMFM...... thanks, yes very exciting and very hopeful too :-) Hehe, my Mum said to me today (bless her) "so, if you get 4 to transfer will you transfer 4?" Hehe, had to laugh, no maximum of 2 in Australia! To be honest, we've discussed the transfer 1 or 2 dilemma so many times, and are still discussing it now. My FS said last week that it was totally up to me, saying, "you've been through this so many times it's up to you." I know all the pros and cons for both 1 and 2, and there's equal reasons for both, so crazily, I'm still not sure. I'm kind of hoping that by day 5 that the embies will direct me, e.g. 1 super strong one infront of the others, or 2 exactly the same. I guess that's going to be the focus of my googling in the next 5 days!!

Bertie, boy and girl twin would be fabulous
Well that is what I imagine for myself in my dreams
I kind of wish my embryo transfer was sooner than next year, it just seems so far away. I have my fingers and toes crossed for you

We had more great news today - it's really quite unbelievable and I keep having to shake my head - day 3 embryo results - 7 x 8A (absolutely perfect) and 1 x 7B (a bit behind, but crazily we would have used this one on any of our previous 8 cycles, and this time this one won't even get a look in!!).

They did assisted hatching today in preparation for transfer on Wednesday (which probably was needed for my old eggs, but probably not actually necessary on these eggs, but done now).

AMFM... after much discussion on the weekend, we're hedging towards transferring just 1 embryo - I like the idea of twins, but personally don't like the risk factors, premie births and difficulty carrying them when I'm not super fit, plus thyroid issues. On a side note my FS also rang to say that even though he's increased my dose of Thyroxine, my TSH still hasn't gone below 4 (which is only just a tad higher than normal range). He's never worried about it before in my previous cycles with him, but I've read recently that now some FSs like TSH to be below 2. So he's increased the dosage again. Has anyone heard anything about Thyroid levels and implantation?

Just popping in quickly to say we transferred one expanded blastocyst this morning :-)) Prof I was happy with that, and so are we! In the end, day 5 results were 2 x expanded blasts (one which we transferred, the other frozen), 2 x morulas (both frozen), 3 x 8-12 cells (that they'll keep until day 6 and see if they progress enough for freezing), and the runt that turned into a morula, but was graded C so unsuitable for freezing. So at the moment we have 3 embies frozen, which is amazing, since we've never had any ever before. Now just settle in, keep myself busy and wait out for BT on 26 May :-)) Thanks everyone again for all your lovely wishes.

    Hi ladies,
I have recently done a blood test recommended from an IVF clinic in Czech Republic and one of the tests has came back positive. The test is for mycoplasma and IGm count was positive for both my husband and I . I was just wondering to know if anyone else had the same issue and if I should be concern?
    Thank you

AMFM....I'd have to check those up. We've had so many tests, that I can't remember which is which now :-))

AFM.... unfortunately I got a BFN on a HPT this morning - 9dp5dt. Not entirely surprised, but had soooooo hoped that having my sister's donor eggs was going to be the breakthrough we needed. But it doesn't look like it's meant to be. Very sad, as I now just don't think it will happen for us, since donor eggs didn't work. Will POAS the next two days and then official BT is Monday.

We still have three of my sister's frosties, so will be looking at everything regarding implantation etc before doing an FET, even though I'm already doing Dr M's immune protocol with Intrallipids, aspirin, prednisolone and clexane (this is the third time using Dr M's protocol). It's obviously my body, rather than my previous "old eggs", which in a way, makes me feel a little more annoyed/sad in that my eggs may have been OK, but my body won't even let it start to implant. Will let you know if there's any exciting change tomorrow - trying to think positive :-))

    Default sorry the news

oh McBertie - so sorry to hear. I hope it's wrong until your blood test but I understand you probably just 'know'. Take time to heal and then up and forward. You have to have strength to do all this. I share the frustration with you.

I had 3 immune protocols same meds as you before I was successful with our first child so don't give up hope. It's too early to say your body isn't playing ball yet, coz its so hard to pin point. It could be the eggs and your body is perfect, It could be the eggs and your body is perfectly working and it just didn't take. (The big million dollar question all specialists want answered).

I have these questions swimming around my head after a BFN. I just want to know why so you can move forward but alas that is where the frustrations come in.

Petals... todays HPT on 10dp5dt was also BFN, so fairly resigned now. I have only the slightest hope that Monday might say something different, but fairly "over" it now. But thankyou for telling me that you had the immune protocol 3 times before getting pregnant. That does give me some hope that it may still work for me then. Looking at your signature, it seems you've had some of your own dramas with DEs not being the saving grace that one would hope. Yes, sometimes I think that I've read more research and know just as much as what the FSs know. Then I realise that they're just as frustrated as we are, that they don't know what to do to make it happen for everyone. Thanks for your advice. I'll wait for the official results on Monday, then I'll be making a new round of appointments (joy, thinking of more excuses for work to get time off!!)
