    Default Cat owners....... please help??

What is the best type of litter to use. The one we are currently using is pretty crap. What's the best to avoid it being sprayed and kicked out everywhere. The one we have is also apparently scented but it stinks so bad. Please help
    Tia.

We only use a litter box in the winter as my cats are big sooks and wont go out to toilet if its raining or cold .
We use a mixture of the catsan crystals and the cheap homebrand one. If we could affort it we would use just the crystals. They absorb the odours and last heaps longer.
You have to make sure you clean any solids out each day though.

I have used the biodegradable one and they are good too mixed with crytals but we are very much on a budget and needed to save money everywhere. We also switched to the woolworths crystals and they were just as good mixed with the cheap homebrand litter.

I'm torn between the crystals and lavender scented clumping (trixie and something brand for both of them) from pet barn.
The crystal leaves no smell in the house which is awesome but needs to be changed more frequently. I like the clumping as I like the idea of extracting all the waste each day.

We use Breeders Choice. It's made of recycled paper. We've tried every type and it is by far and away our favourite.

We use the crystals, seems to smell less, he doesn't walk it through the house and seems to last longer.

Breeders choice recycled paper and a tray with high sides so they can't spread it. I also bought a deodorant spray from the pet store for the extra stinky times.

We use the home brand clumping litter. If you take the clumps out regularly it doesn't get too stinky.

Catsan clumping. Have tried others but they are not as good.

Another vote for breeders choice recycled newspaper litter. I find it less stinky and bigger pieces so easier to clean up. Also litter tray with the lip on it to prevent any getting scratched out. You can get fully enclosed litter trays too but my cats would never use them. Jerks.
