    Default Ikea mishap vent

So my eldest DS wanted me to take him to Ikea. 2hr drive each way but I love the place and had a wish list so ok. He wanted a office chair, while there of course he cons me into buying him a display case for his models. He writes down the location number and we continue thru the store, have lunch then go get the items. So far so good. Pay for everything, load into car along with very grumpy 2yr old and head home. 2 & 1/2 hrs later (bad traffic thru Sydney) we get home. DS goes to put together display case and finds he is missing pieces. Check the website, should be 2 packages. WTF!!! no signs!! I did see them on other things saying 2 boxes make sure you have both. But not on this item. So now I'm going to have to drive another 4+ hrs to get the extra box + petrol & tolls. AARGGHHHH. Vent over

I going to ring tomorrow and ask but they don't seem to do shipping from their website.

I did that when I bought DS' bed - didn't pick up the slats! Argh! At least it's only 45 mins from me. Can't believe you have to drive so far

We had the opposite happen once, we bought a chest of drawers and it stated there were 2 boxes so we picked them both up. Got home.. Nope we had just stolen an extra set of drawers. Hubby called the store to say we wouild return it and explain what happened. They told us not to bother! Free COD

Went back down again on Thursday. Got lost on the way, didn't take the right exit out of the Sydney Harbour Tunnel, almost ended up at the airport until the sat nav decided it knew where I was and got us there. Took about an hour to actually get the extra bit. Staff was great though. Had lunch there, it was revolting, couldn't eat it. But at least DS was happy when I got home and he could put it together.

You should have called. Ikea deliver to Newcastle so they probably could have sent the parts up on their next delivery.
