Thinking of taking my eldest daughter for company but don't know if they will let her in when they take the blood.
@michellek boys are so much adorableness. It's taken a bit to get into the groove of looking at girls stuff again after two boys in a row. I think this girl will be more of a tom boy like I was, seeing the next sibling up is a boy and he will be very interested in playing together. Plus I'm way over pink, trying to avoid it lol
I took a good book and made sure my iPhone was charged! They should let your daughter in with you, I don't think that would be a problem. I just drank the drink really fast!

Also, if you are over pink bluebird, I'm loving neutrals like creams and greys on baby girls. Like little cream stockings!! I do love pink too though as this is my first girl, but pastel pink not bright. Swoon.

Good idea re: the in laws looking after your dd. My DS is pretty cruisey but even he would have gotten bored in there. Waiting rooms are not much fun! Good luck and I hope you don't vomit!

Really? I had to fast from 10pm last night and my test was 8am this morning over two hours- so blood test and then glucose drink, wait an hour, another blood test, wait another hour and then a final blood test.

Good luck with your diabetes tests! I would not will it on anyone. I got diagnosed at 10 weeks and find it really hard. Can't wait for the bubba to be born for the GD to go away.

My slip says nothing sweet to eat or drink an hour before and that the test takes an hour.
yikes I, glad I'm getting off easy!

Hi ladies I'm chasing some advice..

I'm in the hospital having a threatened miscarriage (10 weeks) I started bleeding and cramping yesterday afternoon. My OB did a scan and checked my cervix, baby was good cervix was closed. He said it could be an implantation bleed but we are treating it as a threatened miscarriage.

The cramping eased off last night and the bleeding has lessened. I see my OB this morning I'm trying not to freak out but at the same time I don't want to get my hopes up.... I suppose I'm just chasing any advice.. Good or bad.

Oh French Pear, I came across your diary yesterday and was hoping you'd have some positive news to report today and yay, it's ALL positive! Cramping/bleeding lessening, cervix closed and bubba ok....well that's a massive leap in the right direction and is fantastic!!! I have no real advice as both of my m/c were missed so never any bleeding or cramps until after I had found out they had passed with a rude shock. I had 7week and 11 week losses

So I dunno.....any chance there could've been a twinnie hiding in there? I'm guessing you've had a few scans by now because of your history so probably not?

Maybe you had a sub chorionic haematoma?...I don't think they're all that rare? I had a smallish one when I was pregnant with my dd and it was only picked up at my 3D 12 week scan. Even though I had had several scans by then with my Fertility Specialist in his office. The radiographer technician said that it was at a size that my body should be able to re-absorb it but to not be too worried if I experience some more bleeding (I had had a bleed at 10 weeks which filled 4 panty-liners with some period pain but only tiny dark clots). They checked for it again at my 20 week scan and it was gone.

There are definitely plenty of stories out there where girls have experienced similar to what you just have and it all turned out ok so definitely not time to lose hope Hun One of my friends who is a mum of 3 boys had a massive bright- red-clot bleed with her second of which she now has a very energetic pre-schooler.

You sound like you're in good care so rest up, get second and third opinions if you feel it necessary and follow the experts advice. Vent away if you need to! I have everything crossed for you xoxo

@French Pear, I don't have any advice but wanted to let you know I'm thinking of you and hope everything turns out well!

    Thanks ladies x

I'm home now. I saw my OB and had another scan, the baby is a-ok heartbeating and wriggling around, the scan is now showing the place where there was an implantation bleed (thank god I have some kind of answer) so my OB said I would have a bit more bleeding and I'm on bed rest for the weekend and I have to start progesterone pessaries and another scan on Tuesday. My bleed has been measured (on the scan) and will be checked again on Tuesday.

I'm feeling immense relief as with the cramping and amount of bleeding I was having I thought I was miscarrying for sure, but at the same time I don't feel like I'm by any means in the clear.

I think this pregnancy is going to be a day by day.
