Thank you girls! It's at 4pm perth time. I had lots of weird ultrasound-related dreams last night so my brain must have been working overtime! Also got told that it was a girl, even though it's only our 12wk scan haha. I will update later xx

    Good luck Colbie!

2littlebears - I wouldn't worry too much - my ob said that scans can be plus or minus 5 days all the time. At my very first us baby measured 5w 3d with a hb of 96 - the sonographer joked that it must've only started beating that morning

Sounds good! At 5 wks something there wasn't a heartbeat for me and the tech kept saying its so small she didn't even want to give me an estimate. I thought I was almost 6 weeks at the scan. At 8 weeks the heartbeat was 166.

    Default Spotting at 5w5d

    Hi there!

This is is my first post and I'm hoping for some positive vibes and encouragement. I wish I'd joined up sooner!

I'll get straight to it. Today I am 5w5d pregnant and early this morning I noticed some light pink discharge on wipe. I am beside myself with anxiety and worry.

My HCG at 4w4d was 2844 and progesterone was 123. At 4w6d my HCG was 5283 and at 5w2d it was 15439. I'm waiting on my blood test from today which will be 5w5d.

In May 2012 at about 7 weeks I miscarried a baby girl with Trisomy 17. In September 2012 at about 6w4d I miscarried a baby girl with Trisomy 22.
In March 2013 at 13 weeks a CVS confirmed my baby boy had Trisomy 18 and grief stricken had a D&C.

In November 2013 I had a laparoscopy to treat Endo, hysteroscopy, D&C and dye studies. Both my partner and I have had karyotype testing and we are "normal". I am waiting on a bunch of results of blood clotting tests.

I fell pregnant in December 2013 but sadly miscarried in January 2014.

And here I am, a month later and pregnant for the 5th time. I'm approaching my 42nd birthday and am an absolute bundle of anxiety and stress.

Does anyone have any good luck stories after a similar run of bad luck?

Elsie, you have had a rough time hon. I don't have any experience as I've only had the one mc but couldn't not reply. I have had spotting this pregnancy, at 4 weeks (which was probably implantation bleeding) and again at 8 weeks but scan yesterday showed a perfectly healthy 12 wk bubba. I really hope that it turns out to nothing for you.

Some drs just don't want to give us hope I guess! The tech I had for that first scan was nice but she wasn't very encouraging. I thought I was having an ectopic so that point I was just happy it was in my uterus no matter how small. Also didn't even have a fetal pole for my daughter who's 7 now, at 5wks 4 days.

Welcome and congrats on your pregnancy Elsie!!

My story isn't similar - 2 early losses at about 5 weeks, currently just over 22 weeks pregnant.

I do believe, though, that history doesn't mean it will happen again.......it must be so incredibly stressful for you!

Have you looked into doing anything that would help you relax? Acupuncture, swimming, that kind of stuff?

We're all here to support you xx

Hi girls, baby was just perfect. I'm so relieved. It was chewing on its fingers and waving, so cute.

    Welcome Elsie

2littlebears, that heart rate is well within normal range and it's also normal to be a few days out. I'm sure everything is just fine xx
