    Default Laproscopy surgery.

I have two questions, has anyone had laparoscopy surgery done for blocked tubes was it successful or unsuccessful? was your tube/s unblocked and did you fall pregnant after?

Second question is has anyone had the surgery done in a private hospital as a public patient ? what was the cost?

    Hi
I had tubal reversal done, it's a similar type of surgery I think.
I have gotten pregnant twice since then, 1st time mc very early & now 19 weeks pregnant

Just a warning the hsg a few weeks/months after your surgery hurts like a b!tch lol

I was at norwest private hospital in Sydney under dr Alan tong
Even as private patient we were still out of pocket about $5k

    Good luck

I have had this surgery & it was successful. I had my surgery in May 2013 & I was pregnant in October 2013.

We only started 'seeing what would happen' in August though so really it was perhaps 2 months before we got lucky? I was told to try within 6 months of my surgery to have a baby because this is when my tubes would still be at their 'tidiest'.

I have never been a public patient in a private hosp (only private in private hosp) so not sure about cost.

I had a lap back in April. It found I had moderate endometriosis and confirmed as had previously been suspected that my right tube was blocked. Dr tried to unblock but it was actually twisted and unfortunately no luck.

I did the opposite to you - I went through a public hospital but as a private patient as to avoid the waiting time and all the fees amounted to a little under $3000. Got some back from Medicare though.

I had a lap to explore my tubes for my unexplained secondary infertility. They didn't find anything. It was painful for the first few days then ok after that. A hot wheat bag was my best friend!

When I had my lap I was in the middle of my cycle, AF came and then didn't show up for a while! I fell pregnant straight after it. Worked wonders for me!

I had mine done as a private patient in a private hospital.
