    Default how much to give?

Can anyone give me a rough idea of how much expressed milk I might need for a feed? I have the Baby Love Book which gives an estimate of around 240mls for a 12 week old but DD is nearly 14 weeks now and I'm not sure if that is a big difference or not.

I've waited around three hours after her last feed to express and have gotten around 40 mls but I would need more than that wouldn't I?

I search the forum looking for an answer but couldn't really find anything so sorry if I'm repeating a thread !

The guide for 12 weeks and 14 weeks is pretty similar. And yes - you will need more than 40mls.
One tip for expressing that the midwvies at hopsital gave me is that 20 minutes after a feed is a good time to do it, so that might help. I had to build up a supply for when I went back to work so I used to express my 50mls each night and top up the bottles in the freezer. Once I was back at work it was okay as I could express when I would normally be feeding. So planning ahead and keeping some in the freezer is a good idea.
