    CD7 here. Biding my time until FS appointment on 22 April (I might ovulate before then if I'm lucky). I expect to commence IVF in May (next AF expected around 8-12 May)... Unless my FS thinks IUI might be a goer?

    Since I have irregular cycles, how will it work for me with regards to IVF? Will I be able to just go straight to induction and EPU, or will they make me wait for other things?

    Depends on clinics.. Some are ok for u to just go in and get your meds on day one of your cycle and some prefer to put you on the pill for a cycle so they can schedule it.

    I really hope not the pill option - tried the pill when I was younger. Got AF 5 times in a month and a half!!! Doctor gave me three different types and all of them mucked me about. Hopefully they'll just let me do induction again.

    I'm torn whether to ask to do OI again for a couple of months or not. Only thing making me think otherwise is delaying for a couple of months more. Did three cycles previously and first cycle worked, but was a chem. last two I genuinely think we didn't BD in time.

    Shrillian, I have irregular cycles but didn't have to go on the pill. The ivf meds are pretty strong, they just override your natural cycle. The long cycle with the pill first seems to generally be suggested for ladies with a low AMH whom they need close control over the ovaries to try to get a few eggs. If you are youngish, with good AMH or have pcos you will likely not b put on the pill. Having said that all the clinics and protocols are a bit different. :-) xx

    I was having PGD so they had to book in the exact date for that.

    @bel2466 - What's "youngish"? I'll be 35 in June.
