    Default Long Term TTC chat

I've created this thread for those of us that have been trying a long time and want to chat. My experience has been that those that start out trying for a baby are so excited and positive, and often end up with a BFP very soon.

Then are those of us, still waiting, years later, who have lost that spark and for whom ttc is no longer exciting but a painful, frustrating process. It can be difficult for us in general ttc chats as we don't want to spoil the mood of the thread by having a whinge about how upset/angry/jealous we are. Or how we've lost another baby.

    So join me

    hey starflame

We started ttc the last few days of June 2011 so yep, we started at exactly the same time. This is my 3rd group now. The first (I think you were in?) was a similar thread to this. Almost everyone got pg and the thread died. So I moved onto another LTTC thread... to which most are all pg as well and again the thread has gone quiet bc there are only a couple left.

Don't get me wrong, I'm so pleased for them. They deserve that BFP so much and I feel joy for them bc it's been so hard for them. Just feel lonely in this journey atm as all my ttc buddies are either UTD or have born babies now.

    I'll join this thread ^v^

My DP and I have been trying on and off for several years. we Both work in retail, DP is a duty manager doing 40 hour weeks and I work in the deli Dept doing 25 hs so finding time TTC is hard (T^T)

we'd love a baby, we'd be so happy with just one~ I get really frustrated but am trying to keep happy and positive!

    can I share a story?

DP's Sister got pregnant soon after she decided to have a baby with her partner. (he is not a good person) so here we are 2 years later, Lil Boy is sooo adorable, what I wouldn't give for a child like him, but both his parents had violence and Drug issues, DP's sister is in and out of rehab, making no effort to get her son back, Lil Boys Father has not applied for any Visitations and DP's Parents have custody of Lil Boy... Yet here is DP and I still TTC (>_<)

So where is everyone ttc wise?

I'm cd10 with hopefully 4-5 days until ovulation. Just taking vitex the last two cycles. If this month is a bust, I'll use the soy isoflavones I have in my cupboard. I ovulate every month on my own but given our track record so far and the fact they can't find anything wrong with us, we are willing to try anything.

I've chilled out heaps with ttc the last few months. no more temping (it was making me obsessive compulsive), no more pg testing.

I'm on cd8. Because I have PCOS I have no idea if I'm ovulating and because of DH's low testosterone (due to long term opiate use) we have no idea if he's fertile. We have been choosing the testogel over the SA but we will have to have it done soon to fully know what we're dealing with. I'm planning on getting a stack of OPKs for next cycle and just testing daily but last cycle I never got a second line despite showing all the typical signs. We really are taking a relaxed approach but a lot of that is due to finance. On a positive note I had a normal cycle last time. It was roughly 4 weeks and AF lasted for 5 days instead of 1.5-2 weeks. It's a good start to the year.

Have you considered clomid or soy isoflavones for your PCOS? both work really well. One of the girls in my other group ovulated for the first time in a year with soy.
