Early pregnancies you don't see the sac or anything at all except the 'decidual reaction' which is a thickened uterine lining.

Im not sure how helpful this is but i have had a pelvic u/s done and had the same result.
i never got a bfp and i was not pg as far as i know. my cycle was so late that they found fluid in my uterus and a corpus luteum in my rite ovary.
the lady doing my u/s asked if the doc had taken bloods and i said yes and she was releived. so that was strange.
any way my hcg came back negative and the doc thinks i had fluid in my uterus because i was so over due for af and the lining had built up.
i always wondered if perhaps i was actually pg but i got the test done to late and it wasnt mean to be.
every thing i read about fluid in the uterus is generally related to pregnancy so since you have a bfp and its super early it sounds to me that the fluid is the start of the sac possibly? it isnt over hun if your hcg is still rising. just super early to see a bubba or a sac

Your next set of bloods should give you a much better idea of what is happening. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do in the meantime.

Sounds very much like me. I had an ovarian cyst & also two haemorrhagic cysts in my uterus which is why I bled. Free fluid in the uterus or ovaries really hurts (like period pain). Would have asked of they thought the fluid could be due to a ruptured cyst or something.

Did they say you need to go for a follow up?

I wouldn't put any stock in the results of this scan - it's in no way indicative of a viable or non-viable pregnancy. You're at least two weeks away from a scan being in any way reliable in that regard.

If it will give you peace of mind then keep getting your hcg levels tested.

AF-like cramps are completely normal. It's not just about implantation, it's about your uterus stretching to accommodate the embryo, it's about the hormone surges that help your pregnancy progress and it can also be wind cramps.
Thankyou very much . All your kind words are very comforting and helpful.

Thankyou. Yes I have had a sub chorionic bleed in my last pregnancy at 9 weeks pregnant but that was on the placenta. This is on my actual lining of my womb which is scary..I hope it's just a implant bleed or something :-s
