    Default Setting up nursery

    Hi ladies

So I am currently 21 weeks with baby number 2 and wondering when everyone had their nurseries totally complete we didn't get to set up DS as we were in the middle of buying a house when we had him :/ lol

I only ask cause I worry we r doing it to early but in about 4 weeks we have 8 weekends straight of wedding etc and then my sons birthday then she is due :/ so we really only have the next month of spare time

    Argh lol thanks

We didn't set ours up until I finished work at about 34 weeks as I had to convert my office into a nursery. Bub was in our room in a bassinet until about 3 months and we moved the change table into the lounge room at first cos it was warmer (winter bub).

I don't think there is such a thing as too early, if you don't need the space for anything else then go for it! Enjoy!

With DS1 we had the nursery set up (painted and everything) by 28 weeks.
With DS2 it was about 32 weeks ( painted and everything)

After we had a good 20 week scan, I went nuts! And the nursery was set up by 24 weeks :-)

And considering I spent the next 15 weeks in NICU with bub, it was ideal!!

Will be 18 weeks tomorrow - currently have cot with mattress, change table, and "dresser" (it's really a storage thingy from ikea but I'm not sure what else to call it haha) set up, have bought bassinet (bub will stay in our room at first) but don't have it at home just yet. After 20 weeks scan will do more - currently just window shopping for sheets/curtains/wall decorations etc want to have everything done before 36 weeks.

I'm 37 weeks this week. Having c sect in one weeks time. I unfortunately had to do some renos to the room because the shower which is on the adjoining wall leaked.
Today I organised everything and de dusted from all the sanding, etc. it's still not been painted or anything and I've just been informed that the wall needs sanding again. Sigh.

If I could start setting up now (at 15w) I would!
We have all the furniture on layby but won't unpack it until we have moved. I have big ideas for the nursery but we're still looking to move from the unit into a house. Just wish that perfect place would hurry up and magically appear so I can get organised.

Last pregnancy our nursery was setup super early as we didn't need that room..

This time round the nursery will be done at the very lsst minute as the guest room needs to change into my office and my office needs to turn into the nursery..

I'm ITCHING to have a beautiful nursery setup as I've got it all planned.. but that's all I can do for now.. plan and purchase

It's never too early to be organised IMO..
