    Default What's in the bottle?

I was just watching a show about women ina prison in the US having their babies and getting to keep the bubs with them in a special prison nursery set up. The episode tonight showed a couple of women having their babies and I noticed for both of them the babies were given a prepared bottle of something (had a label on but missed the name) very soon after birth, ie, still in theatre after a cs. Would this just be formula or would it be something else? It was sort of a caramel milk colour.

Yep, premade formula. See it a lot on American baby shows

They don't want prison inmates to start demanding things like breast pump breaks, I guess!

I saw that show tonight, there was one woman that wasn't allowed into the program so had to give her baby to her mum to look after and she was expressing and freezing the breast milk to pass on to her mum.

    Interesting show...
