I'll join in. I could have up to 3 cans of diet soft drink a day. I'd like to drop that to just the one.

Good on you. I was completely addicted to coke, I craved it all the time and couldn't go more then a few days without drinking it. Then I decided I had to give it up. It was freaking hard and I craved it so badly but eventually I got over it. That was about 3 years ago. Occasionally when we go out for dinner or when hubby has a bottle to drink with rum I'll have a glass and really enjoy it but I no longer need to have more one every few months completely satisfies me.

Sorry to sound all clichéd just wanted to say 'You can DO it'

Count me in! I don't drink it too often but it's always my choice. I'm going to give up everything except coffee and water, and allow myself ONE glass of either cordial or juice a day. Especially being pregnant in this heat, I need to really focus on water! (Which I normally struggle to drink, but it's so hot it's the only thing satisfying my thirst for a change)

I'm so worried I'll try find the sugar fix elsewhere too! I think water with a slice of lemon in it may curb the sugar cravings- and I'm sure it's a good detox for your body... Then you can wean the lemon out gradually? Maybe that will work?

I drink Soda water with Lemon instead of soft drink. It's been a couple of years now but a) the soda water helps to satisfy that bubbly feeling you need sometimes and b) the lemon just adds some flavor to it - it's nice and I don't think it's sour or anything!

    Another diet coke addict here.

I drink easy 2 litres a day but stick to caffeine free as I'm pregnant
