After teasing me with two nights of 5hrs of uninterrupted sleep, last night DD was up to her 2-3hourly feeds again....
Please please pretty please sleep 6hrs again tonight. It was nice to feel human again for two days.

I think that's the worst....just when you start to feel human and breathe a little easier.. it starts again...I always felt so shattered - like I had nearly got to the finish line but stumbled.

Hope everyone gets a bit of respite tonight :-)

I want to vent that I finally have a baby who sleeps at night (dont want to rub it in, read on!) But DS2 wakes up multiple times every night needing cuddles to calm him down and he wont let DH resettle him, he becomes violent if DH or anyone but me goes near him, so It all falls on me. I am completely and utterly exhausted.

Hi I have an almost 4 week old boy who has silent reflux. His also a tummy sleeper as have all my others been. His also a terrible sleeper it can take me up to 4 hours to get him down using the walk and pat technique. This entire time though he is unsettled and rarely lets me put him down at last weigh when he was 2 weeks old he was 5kg! I also have a 3 year old that is getting literally no attention because of this and is also having her sleep disturbed. Ive tried a number of things to fix his sleep issues but nothing works. Ive got no help DP is a baker so he leaves for work at 2.30am earlier if the kids are playing up as he has no idea how to help!

    Hugs hun.
Its so hard when they are that young.
Have you tried cutting out dairy?
My oldest had the worst time getting to sleep and sounds like what you are going through.

Dairy made the silent reflux worse and nothing else helped.

With your partner get him to walk bub while you read to your 3 yr old and put to bed. Or other way around. My dh is hopeless unless I tell him what I need. No hints just tell him.

    Good luck.

I don't understand it. I've done all the "right things". Put baby down awake. No sleep aids. Leave her for awhile before going in. Controlled crying. Now at 12.5 months, she's crept back up to 2-3 wake ups a night (not as bad as some, I know, dd at 6 months was 5-6 times) and I thought it would be improving, but getting worse. It's frustrating as all hell, like it's my fault as a parent.
