It will pass! The shine will wear off and once he had mastered the crawling he will stop trying to do it when asleep!
When feeding to sleep doesn't work for us, I rock, sing, walk, drive etc.

With my boys I had to put them each iin their cots and put an arm in each cot and pat their backs because I couldn't obviously cuddle them both at the same time. They did cry quite often while I was doing that, and whilst it upset me, I knew they were not hungry, hot, cold, it needed a happy change- they just needed sleep... By about 10 or so months they were much easier and couldn't cry for as long... By 18 months I was putting them in their cot, doing the same routine and they would happily sleep without the tears. Just another option to consider.

I have been half-hearted lot trying it with dd, because now she only feeds to sleep about 50% of te time, and the rest expects something different.

Thanks Nomsie, I know I just have to ride it out for a bit. Was hoping to start trying with the cot again this week as we've just come back from a trip but he's cold and I don't think it's fair to let him cry when he's sick

Could be. It has been happening on and off for a while. Its just so frustrating. I think teething could be playing a part too

We're back to getting her asleep in the pram tonight. She fights being put down in her cot or held and cuddled/rocked. Can only feed for so long before my boobs get sore. The pram seems like our only option but I feel like a complete failure for some reason. She's six months old,.was hoping it'd be better by now but it's worse!!!! Waking so much overnight too and only boobie will do, can hardly put her down :-( Feel like I am missing something, doing something wrong!!!

    Bond girl don't feel bad.
Ds2 is 13 months and still wakes heaps at night just for boobies.
As we speak I'm feeding him for the 4 time since he went down for the night.

Bondgirl my DD is a week older than yours; and they sound almost the same (minus the pram lol- DD HATES the pram!) I feed her to sleep.. but she is almost constantly by my side, can hardly get time away from her, and I have to feed her all through the night... BUT

You are doing nothing wrong! Never mind the people who all say 'oh, my child slept through from 2 weeks old' etc- it's a loud minority!! She will learn how to sleep better and for longer all in her own good time. And I know it doesn't help you today, it doesn't help me today either!! But it will definitely happen!

You really are not doing anything wrong!
