    For starters, I would tell them you will name and shame them on fb page if they don't fix it. Tell them they have 3 days to respond and then 21 days to fix, then you will be going to fair trading with copies of emails etc. if the problem isn't resolved.

    You're good BigRedV lol. Im supposed to be getting replacement knobs next week apparently so I will wait to receive then do this!
    Im a lil worried of backlash of if I start naming and shaming but I know they shouldnt get away with this
    If they just owned up and tried to rectify this there wouldn't be an issue. ..grr..vent! :-)

    I wouldn't name and shame straight away - give them a 'chance' to come good. If after a certain period of time nothing happens I then would.

    [QUOTE=olismumma;7609890]Great idea :-)
    They didnt give me a receipt though..

    I reckon this sounds a bit dodgy, every company we've used has provided reciepts (mostly end of lease cleaning but still)

    I thought businesses were required to give receipts.... Even if you request one... For tax purposes

    Not good enough to only fix the knobs, and yes you have proof of the works through the texts, emails etc. It is worth ringing your insurance to discuss with them.

    I am planning on getting on to them for a receipt next week when I receive knobs and this 'letter' from them. Im pretty sure it will be saying something along the lines of..we will take no further responsibility. Am not backing down now I know what to do so thanks ladies :-) I will be ringing my insurance company and fair trading on Monday. I feel better after looking at fair trading website also as there was an example scenario of if a business cleaned carpets and ruined it they would be liable for compensation or to fix so I think I have a case now!
