Default Baby born w black hair turning blonde.

    Hey.

Anyone had a baby born with dark hair that turned blonde?

If so, did it stay blonde or change back? I just find it fascinating and knew it could happen with blonde turning brown, but not the reverse .

Me and my husband both have dark brown hair, our little one, (now 4 months) was born with alot of dark hair. Now he has a fair bit of new hairs coming thru after loosing a bit to cradle cap. And they are as blonde as blonde can be. Plus some of the original hairs have blonde regrowth. My grandparents had blonde and red hair.

    Very cute.

Aren't pretty much all babies born with black hair?

Both my kids went from jet black to blonde for around 18 months then settled with brown.

My sister and I were both born with a mass of black hair and went blonde. My hair went darker to a mousy brown when I was 11 and my sister is still blonde.

Ds1 was born with black hair, it went blonde, then changed to brown. Ds2 was born with ginger hair, it's still ginger. Dd was born with black hair to, she is only 2wks old, but I'm pretty sure it will turn brown.

    Nope.

DS was born a red head, it fell as it does overtime but all his real hair is red to and getting more and more obvious the longer/thicker it gets.

Funniest bit, neither DH or I are red heads. Neither are our parents!! DH's grandmother was and my grandfather was so he's a throw back from 3 generations ago!!

hi, each child is different. My first was born strawberry blonde and is still the same colour now 34 years old. My daughters had next to no hair at birth, eventually grew light blonde and gradually went darker through childhood. My youngest son started out dark, almost black, that fell out, grew back strawberry blonde like his brother. That fell out and he became the whitest blonde I have ever seen. He was white blonde until high school age, and is now light brown /blonde as an adult. no rules apply, Marie.

Yep it's pretty normal. DD1 was born with black hair that went light brown and now at almost 5 is a mousy brown. DD2 was born with black hair with blonde tips (was so strange lol) and it never fell out but it now totally blonde at 3.

My dad was born with white blonde hair and at about 2yrs old it went jet black.
