Only 41! Gosh, I feel for you. What horrible heat.

I'm in Melbourne so have avoided the heat wave but I can't help but think back to the week we had earlier in the year where the temp didn't go below 35. We were upstairs with no aircon, horrible.

I hope the cool change comes through soon.

Yeah it's been really humid here today and 32'C. I've had the portable air con going in lounge room since 9am this morning. Waiting for darkness to happen so I can turn it off. The sun hits our lounge room in the arvo so very hot

I have a friend who is in hospital in an induced coma because she has been drinking too much water and has had a series of seizures. Seems she had been feeling dehydrated following going to the woodford folk festival and over compensated. She has 4 children. Damn this hot weather.

How awful SPG! I'll be thinking of your friend and hoping she pulls through.

I'm in north brisbane and it was 44 at 4.30pm! We've been sleeping downstairs on a mattress in the aircon. Upstairs was 33 according to the baby monitor.

Those with a fan try putting a wet sheet in front of the fan really nice and cooling... or breastfeed little ones in a cool bath......
