Default Toilet trained for #2 but not #1

Has anyone had a child that is toilet trained for poos but not wees? DS who is 25 months used to strain so had for #2 so we put him on the potty and it helped him. Now for the last month when he needs to go #2he come to me and says "poo poo" so I take him and he goes no with no issues. Have tried trying to get him to do a wee on the potty but no luck. Anyone else had this? Each time I try to encourage wees he gets upset and I stop because I don't want to ruin the good thing we got going with #2!!

I have the opposite problem! Dd has been in undies all year but asks for a nappy to do poos. Has a complete meltdown if we attempt putting her on the toilet! Good Luck and be persistent!
