    Default No weight gain?

Hi all! I'm 12wks today and just went for my first US this morning, I'm measuring 11+4.

I was was just wondering if anyone else has *not* gained weight at this stage? I know people who have a lot of ms can lose weight at the start but I've not been sick at all, I'm just not gaining anything. I'm actually about 1kg less than pre-Preg. This is my first bub so I really have no idea.

I am one of those people who lost 2 kg until week 12 from nausea. I have since put on 8kg from pre preg weight until now 27weeks. I think you will find that the real hunger doesnt kick in until around week 20 ish. And you will gain weight then

I didn't put on weight with either of my pregnancies until quite late. I actually lost weight in the first trimester (even though first time round I wasn't sick at all and 2nd time round I was only mildly unwell), then went back to starting weight in 2nd trimester and in 3rd trimester I gained weight.

My obstetrician was never worried when I asked. She said as long as I wasn't trying to do some sort of crash diet or starving myself then it was ok as bub would take all the nutrients they needed.

Same here, I didn't gain weight until perhaps 15 weeks, and very slowly to gain a total of perhaps 10.5kg for the whole pregnancy. I'm just 5"1 though so didn't have the space to gain too much!

I didn't gain any weight until about 22 weeks, even now at 38 weeks I have only gained about 6kgs.

Your bub is tiny at this stage so doesn't weigh much so no weight gain is completely healthy, your body is working over time to grown & develop you bub so burning a lot more energy than before... I didn't put any on till about 16/17 weeks, only put 12kg on during my pregnancy.
