I know they say to wait 1 year before seeking fertility advice, but I am just wondering the cost involved and where to even start? I have regular cycles, doing opk's and bbt. Everything looks normal in that regard. I just wanted some advice on where to start when you decide to get help, and the cost? Thanks in advance :-)
My FS charged $270 for the first visit. Not sure how much for the SA for DH, but at the hospital, so assuming bulk billed???? I'll ask DH.

My bloods and pap smear on the initial visit were covered in my initial cost.

Starting first cycle of Ovulation Induction cost me about $670. Subsequent cycles only cost $250 for cycle monitoring only (already had the meds).

Meant to be evaluating "next steps" with the FS, but avoiding that discussion for now.

Hi girls, AF arrived at lunchtime. So I already knew my bt results before the doc called. Negative. Doc thought it was an early termination, it wasn't meant to be this cycle either. Back to square 1 CD 1.
This was my 2nd early MC in 6 month. On the positive side, at least I know I can conceive, now I have to work on getting it to stay too, any suggestions?

Sorry Mama. AF not due here yet, but have a gut feeling I'll be joining you in March, too. Fingers crossed for next cycle! xx

I'm so sorry 😞, it's a horrible feeling and makes it hard to get excited when you get future positives because you worry it will be the same. I saw an FS after my third early mc which also fell at the 12mth mark. Can't honestly remember how much it was, I think around $200ish? And hubby was bulk billed. All our bloods were bulk billed and I think hubby's second SA was maybe $50-$70. Not a lot anyways. I've had a laparoscopy/hysteroscopy and dye test and that was about $400 out of pocket for specialist and $250 which is my hospital excess. The rest I claimed through my private or was bulk billed through Medicare. Was pretty good. So far I think it's been about $1000. Going back on April 2nd if we aren't pregnant this cycle to ask for hormone tests and cycle tracking will begin to do timed artificial insemination.
