Default How does everyone spend their NEW YEARS EVE??

Just wondering how everyone spend their New Years Eve Night with bubs or without?
I have been thinking about what we should do. Well we dont have a babysitter this years so was wondering what everyone does with kids. well dd is only 1 so she is in bed by like 5.30pm so I think it may be hard to take her out somewhere.

Last year we stayed at home and had some friends over. We had a BBQ and it was heaps of fun.

This year I have a feeling i'm going to be over due or probably in blo*dy labour!

We usually stay home and get takeaway, put some kids movies on for the evening. They have sparklers at night when it gets dark and when they go to bed DH and I have some drinks and watch the fireworks on tv.....how boring!!!!
    But its fun

We overlook the opera house so we get to see all the fireworks over New Years eve, there are so many! We just have a huge BBQ and invite everyone round and just generally have a P*** up.

New Years is rather boring now as I am always at my parents place every year over Xmas and New Year. As soon as it hits 12 everyone goes to bed.

Last year DP worked until 8, came home and I'm SURE we were asleep by 12...

This year, DP has the night off... YAY.... we are having some friends over and will only have been in our new house for a fortnight so it will all be very exciting

Last year i was 38 wks pregnant with Riley so we didn't do anything. Didn't even make it to midnight.

This year i think we are having a bbq at our house with friends. Nothing too fancy but i am looking forward to it.

We usually do something similiar to my2boyz, the kids get excited if we make it a bit special for them, get out bowls of chips, let them have sparklers, stuff like that. We live on top of a big hill that overlooks the whole of the
Gong, so we have an AWESOME view of the fireworks display, so the kids love to sit on the verandah and catch them as well. If they are asleep before midnight, DH and I just sit up and chat and stuff, and watch the later fireworks.
This year though a friend is having a big kid friendly bbq so we will probably go to that
