    Unhappy worst person

i feel like im the worst mother in the world right now!

i was so happy an hr ago. i went from laughing to angry and yelling in 30secs, over a stupid bath plug!!

i yelled at my son. i called him an idiot. and thought worse things. for about 30 secs i felt like i hated him.i had no reason to do that. i feel like the most terrible person in the world and i cant stop crying.

sorry i just had to get it off my chest.
i feel so horrible. i feel physically sick over my behaviour.

i dont know what happened. ive been feeling so much better lately, and now i feel like i dont even deserve to have a child.

he is such a good boy. and i made him so sad.

i think alot of mums go through this, i know i do, i say some things i regret after.......theres only one thing you can do, figure out your triggers, breathe before you say a thing, think about how you'd feel if it was your mum saying it to you.......its hard to change.......but i think it is worth it......you'll get there, and your not a bad mum, a bad mum wouldnt regret it .

I did a similar thing this morning to my DD and it wasn't even her fault. DS had been whinging and crying for about 20mins non stop. I was trying to get everyone ready to get out of the house and he just kept on and on! Finally I got them in the car and DD wanted to put her own seatbelt on, I was impatient so I did it for her. She started crying and screaming etc. I turned around and screamed at her to SHUT UP! and smacked her on the leg. Yelled for about a minute how i was sick of her and her brother always at me etc. I felt so horrid straight away as it was DS I was frustrated at but DD just pushed me over the edge.

I feel like a horrid mum most of the time, so don't think you are the only one out there who has 'snap' moments.

    Oh hun

I have these days too don't feel bad some days are more stressful than others !
I made Boof cry the other nite when i yelled at him & i ended up crying along with him. It was horrible.
If you were a bad mum you wouldn't feel this way !

Maybe try & take some time out tonite if you can. Have a nice relaxing bath or read a book & if you can go to bed a little early to try & get a good nites rest ( yeah easier said than done right ).

You are doing a great job

Oh Neeky to you.I seem to take all of my frustration out on DS1 who is 6.I really hate myself for doing it and I have really tried to cut it out.

It's so hard when you don't even realise you are doing it.

I have snapped at Ellie too and felt really rotten all over.Maybe just do something extra special with Aiden to help you see past it IYKWIM.

thank you all for making me feel much better.

i made it up to him yesterday. we had a day of play. we even made a cubby house in his room which he had great fun destroying over and over again.
i think he was getting sick of hearing that i love him, and sick of all the kisses and cuddles by the end of the day.

i think it was more dp that i was frustrated with, but poor little aiden copped it. so yesterday i had a "discussion" with dp. we both feel better now, hopefully it will last.

    thanks again everyone!
