    I used to work with a Larissa and her nickname was Larry(everyone would call her that). I dont mind the name, not one i would personally pick though.

    I'm not a fan of the "issa" names. I have no idea why I have this opinion or where it comes from. I can understand why you'd be interested in hearing what other people think but taste or choice of names is just so personal and subjective.

    I'm Marissa and I am friends with a Larissa. Neither of us have any complaints with our names. We both get called Rissa, Riss or Rissy, if you are interested in what it generally seems to get shortened to.

    Not bogan at all... Quite the opposite, IMO. It is a lovely, pretty name and not too common these days which I like

    My name is Kerissa which is similar. I have never had any issues with my name. I like Larissa, and I love Marissa. I always wished my parents named me that instead of Kerissa.
