    Default How was your Xmas?

Mine sucked. It is always just DP and I for Xmas but this year was DS' first so I was a little more excited than normal.

DP hasn't been well and has basically slept all day. That didn't stop him going to a friends around the corner to drop off presents and spending nearly 2 hours there. Then getting home and going straight to bed by 6.30 so I've been looking after DS all day and going crazy with the sound of the new toys. On the bright side, DS had a good day until about 4pm when he cracked it from over stimulation.

I cooked lunch and it wasn't until it was basically cooked that he said he didn't want to eat. So I ate xmas lunch by myself with DS who really wouldn't know decent cooking if he face planted into it - he is after all only 8 months old

I got the crappiest presents that I remember. My parents got me a digital kitchen scale. Nice thought but it's the exact one that I bought a month ago. They wouldn't know that though as they're interstate so I'm not too upset with that. DP though went to absolutely no effort whatsoever and got me a candle holder thing which I have seen at various newsagents. I know it's not the gifts that are important at this time of year but I puta lot of thought into his gifts so I'm annoyed. He couldn't even go to a bookstore and pick me up a book or even a gift card.

Anyway, it's now 7pm and I'm sitting on the couch alone watching tv. I think online shopping is going to get a workout tonight. I hope your xmas is better than mine.

Oh gee that sounds awful. I'm so sorry your day has sucked so badly. Mine started out great but then turned into a huge pile of meh.

I woke at 5am when kiddo woke me. Went to work from 7am til 1:30pm where i was hit, kicked, hit with the shower hose while showering her, spat at, pinched all by just one person. Was also called a dog because only dogs would turn the shower off after being in there for nearly half hour and humans wouldnt do that to another human. Left work, got home to find my dad drinking(and who is currently drunk) while the house is trashed from his cooking which i had to clean up. Now at movies watching frozen which was meant to start 30mins ago and the screens have only just come on in the last minute.

Overall been a pretty crappy day.

    Best Christmas ever!

It started at 7am when we got up to do presents. We had a delicious breakfast and enjoyed our gifts.

The kids played their new wiiU until going to their dads and I then stuffed my partners face with food.

After that we went crabbing and swimming.

    Such a fun day

Hugs. Kind of good to know I wasn't the only one. I don't know how you carers do it. Kudos to you - I wouldn't have the patience. Hope your day tomorrow is better.

I was disappointed. This year I thought it would be nice for DD to spend the day with her dad, so we went to his house for lunch instead of my family's lunch (which is always an extravagant affair with all the trimmings and a massive feast). Sadly no effort was made at my ex's house, no one even cleared the junk off the table for us to eat, let alone do anything remotely Christmassy. No one really spoke to me and while I was washing the dishes (and cleaning the kitchen that looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months) DD's dad decided to go for a run instead of spend time with DD. So I feel like I missed my fabulous traditional Christmas for nothing.

But anyway, I'm trying just to focus on the positives and everything I'm grateful for, and DD and I are going to have a fun day tomorrow enjoying all our new gifts so all is well

We went and had Christmas lunch with DFs family. The kids had a lot of fun and were spoilt.

It was a 6 hour round trip though. Ds1 sometimes gets car sick. He felt off about 40 mins away from home, was actually sick less than 5 mins from home.

Overall it was ok though. Looking forward to a nice quiet day tomorrow.

That sounds awful. I know that its not about the gifts but when you feel taken for granted it really hurts and being the mother of his child you kind of would hope to be appreciated. Big hugs to you.

    It was interesting weird Christmas.
Back ground. I haven't slept for more 2 hrs for the last 12 days due to gastro and the kids and I being a victim of a crime on saturday.

The teens were up after midnight and woke very early but Bub wouldn't wake until 6. Anyhow we tried to get the Internet going so we could sky dd1 while we opened gifts. Well we couldn't get it going. I cried. We start opening gift and we see a car pull up. The kids school principal hops out with bags of gifts. Now our kids go to a school with around 1000 kids. Anyhow she had heard about the crime and had run into the kids yesterday while the we're get their gifts for the random acts of kindness gifts wrapped. She was touched by their kindness even after the incident wanted to bless them. I was still in my nightie with no underwear on
The kids felt so blessed. We of to church an no put out the roast to defrost. So when I got home I started to cook lunch. My oven door is broken and lunch didn't cook until 5 pm. So we just had sandwich. We off to family dinner were there was way to much food but my kids tummies are still not right so they hardly ate anything.
My brother was falling a sleep so we left early. Now we are sitting on the couch just watching a Christmas movie.
