I was wondering if someone could help me? I am new to temping and I'm confused on when ovulation happens? Is it when the temp rises or falls? Thank u :-)

Your temp will rise once ovulation happens, it falls around the time that AF comes

    Welcome muzzy

You could have a peek at some of the charts on this thread.....you'll notice that there's always a "dip" in temperature when ovulation happens, and then a sustained temperature rise afterwards, and then it falls again just before AF arrives

    Hi everyone

Me and DH are getting ready to TTC #2 (I would be TTC now but I have a full year of uni ahead of me, so want to time due date to be December or later!) and so I've been temp charting. I did last time and we fell pregnant with DD quite easily after figuring out my cycle (if only the pregnancy had have been as easy as the conception!).

Previously I was 28 day cycle, O about day 16, to my surprise I'm now 32 day cycle, O about day 22/23!! Even though the temperatures don't lie... I'm going to try pick up O with a test next cycle.

I've started taking vitex so hopefully it regulates a little.. but maybe it's just my body has changed after having a baby?

Has anyone else noticed a massive cycle change after having a baby?

    Welcome new people.

I can't help out with the question about cycles changing after a baby sadly, as I'm still ttc#1.
@muzzy - as previous posters have said, usually there is a slight dip in temp just before o, followed by a sustained temp rise. However, everyone is different (& your own cycles can vary).

Well now I'm just sad and confused. Maybe yesterday's rise was a false with timing being out of whack :-(((

I can't work these temps out, I woke up at 2am covered in sweat and turned the fan on high and pointed it right at me, so who knows if my bbt reflects that? Another pretty restless night, that's 4 in a row! Wondering if that + heat + school holidays is why I was so cranky yesterday.

Forgot to link my chart http://www.fertilityfriend.com/m/home.php/1909fb
