Oh wow! Just back from holidays and read your post RoRo. Brought tears to my eyes to know that your especially special bundle has arrived safely. I feel like we've known one another (virtually) for so very long and I truly couldn't be happier for you that your time has finally come and your gorgeous boy is here. You have been through so much and I'm sure when you look at your boy, it's all been worth the wait. He will be so lucky to have a mum who has wanted him so much. Trust me, it even makes the lack of sleep and difficult times easier to know how blessed you are to even have the opportunity to hear those cries!

I can't express how happy I am for you and I can't wait read all the details and hear how you are going.

Beautiful name by the way. Good choice

Its been ages since Ive popped in but I had a feeling there was good news and so excited to read that a gorgeous baby has arrived for RoRo. (I knew the hair work would eventually work out)
Ecstatic to also hear MrsErin almost ready to pop as well - good luck

Glad to hear the twins are going well Nat

Congrats to you all, hope it continues to goes well.

Im now a busy Mamma of a what the paed likes to call her - a kamikaze 18 month old. She has no fear of anything, runs, climbs and gets into kind of trouble going (nothing like her mother) but although its sometimes exhausting I wouldnt have it any other way..

I probably have missed people I should have said hello to (apologies)

    Take care

How are you going, @RoRo? The first weeks can be tough- as wonderful as it is to have your little one, the sleep deprivation, learning to feed and figuring out their sleep can be overwhelming. But it does get better! You start to find your groove, they start to get used to life on the outside, and they begin developing new skills and gradually becoming more independent.

I hope it's all going okay for you. Feel free to ask any questions or just have a vent if you need. Chances are someone here has had similar experiences and can help or just tell you it's completely normal.

How are you, MrsErinR? What's the countdown down to?

It's a girl! Our little girl Leah Ellen was born at 10.39am today, weighing 3.355kg (7 pounds 6 ounces), 49cm long.

I'll be back with the full story when I'm a little less groggy and tired. There were a few complications for me due to past surgeries, but Leah is, of course, perfect!

That's wonderful news, MrsErinR! A huge congrats! I can't see the photo on my phone, but will look later on the PC. I have no doubt she is gorgeous!

Rest up as much as you can, and enjoy that new baby smell and snuggles.

She's gorgeous MrsErinR! I love that "sleeping with concentration" expression :-). I'm so glad she arrived safely and you're well. Let the hospital and DH take good care of you and rest up :-).

Sorry I haven't posted since Sam's birth. It's been a blur of feeding and sleeping and crying. He is very well - seems to be growing well and had regained his 6 lb 15 oz birth weight at day 6 - but I'm having some trouble breastfeeding as he has a shallow latch. ouch. Calling a lactation consultant today about it. Apart from that I'm healing well and my cankles have finally gone down. i'll try to post a photo as Sam has just pushed off the boob and sprayed milk out of his nose:
