MrsErinR I hope you're not going too stir crazy in hospital. Sometimes at work I wish I'd already started my leave, but it's not quite the same as your enforced rest! low side of normal is still within the normal range, but it's reassuring to hear that there's a reason for it and it'll bounce back when you're off the meds!

Wunsi those are great numbers. Looks like the "chemical is followed by a sticky baby" theory works great . Will be checking in here to see how you're going over the next few weeks!

MrsE: scary I'm sure but it sounds like you are in great hands. I hope your gtt is all clear and you can down chocolate like crazy 😉

Roro: I'll pop in as I get more BT's and then scan results.

    Hope everyone else is well

Ooh mrserinr, what a time you're having! Your days must feel very long at the moment. I hope that little bub of yours is giving you lots of wiggles and kicks to keep you smiling. Is your DH able to be with you much? Or do you have other family, friends nearby who can visit? I hope so, so that your days tick along while you rest. Thinking of you! xo

Hi Nat, I'm going ok. I don't really expect to be out of hospital tomorrow unfortunately. The doctor said I could go home when the SCH is gone or when I've had a week without bleeding. I think there's no hope of it being totally gone tomorrow given last week it was the same size as when I was admitted and I am still having daily brown spotting.

Brown spotting is good though apparently. It hopefully means that it is resolving.

DH had to go overseas for work this past week and he got back today which was great. He has the day off tomorrow so he will be at the hospital for the day which is great. I've had plenty of visitors so it hasn't been too bad really.

    Hi all

Thought I'd post an update. Unfortunately scan wasn't great on Monday. The SCH had doubled in size rather than reduced. I also had some red bleeding and it seems there is a new bleed feeding into the clot. Pretty depressing. So, I am still here in hospital and I have another scan tomorrow. I just hope it is not any bigger.

For now, I am just staying here, resting and hoping it resolves. If it doesn't then they will move me at 26 weeks to another hospital that can deal with premmies in case I go into labour, but let's hope it doesn't come to that. That is still 4 weeks away for me.

RoRo, how are you going? And how is everyone else?

    X

Oh Bugger mrserinr. I'm sorry it isn't great news at this stage. But you are doing the absolute best you possibly can by resting. I'm really sad for you that you're not getting to enjoy this time as much you deserve, however your bub will be worth every second of this of course. Keep ticking those days over and we'll keep everything crossed for more positive news soon. xo

Better news today. The clot has halved in size in the last 4 days, so it's sort of back to the size it was, when I was first admitted. I haven't spoken to doctor yet but I'm assuming continued bed rest and maybe another scan in a week.

Fingers crossed that it continues to shrink.

MrsErinR it does sound like you're making progress now, and I hope the SCH continues to shrink! How strict is the bed rest - are you allowed up for toileting and showers etc? Hope you're not going too crazy and your bub is entertaining you with movements.

I'm chugging along fine - last week for the second trimester and everything has been really easy for ages. Sooner or later I'm sure it'll get uncomfortable! We are house hunting so I haven't bought anything for the baby yet.

Wunsi, how are you getting on?
