Wunsi, sorry I didn't respond! No we didn't find out gender. We are going to have a surprise.

13w today and I had my scan today. All good, no issues. Bub was very active and not too cooperative for photos.

Morning sickness seems to be lifting this week too. I am looking forward to feeling human again.

    How is everyone else going?

That's fantastic MrsErinR, you must be so happy right now. You have certainly been an inspiration for me.

Good luck for your FET Wunsi, hopefully the first try will be the last try

AFM, I have started looking at donor egg profiles in SA which probably isn't a great idea as we can't start the process until a few months into next year and I have already found a donor I really like, which is frustrating. Hopefully she may still be available then or be back on the books for another donation at that time, I may also find another I like in the meantime I guess. Anyway, me and DP will keep plugging away at getting preggers ourselves while we are waiting, but I don't feel the huge pressure I felt before to fall pregnant which us nice.

It sounds like we're all making positive progress in our own journeys this week!

Wunsi, good luck for your FET! You are probably an old pro at blood tests by now (as are we all) so I'll just wish you a nice clear ovulation and a perfect thaw and transfer! Are you doing anything around transfer, like acupuncture?

Emmajane, I'll keep my fingers gently crossed (ie no pressure) for you while you wait. (And for the donor to still be available if you need her!). It is good that you found a donor you like so quickly, really - it implies there'll be others out there that you like too.

MrsErinR, I'm so very glad your 13w scan went so well. How soon do you get the NT results back? I had to wait about 3 days. And isn't it so amazing to look at the little wiggly bub! Welcome to the second trimester, lovely lady!

AFM, I'm 16.5 weeks today, next checkup is tomorrow and then no more checkups until my anatomy scan (we are too curious for words and will be finding out the gender then, I hope). I went to prenatal yoga for the first time a couple of days ago and I'm sooooore......

RoRo I am doing acupuncture in the lead up and on the day and then weekly after. I'm basically following same as stim cycle. And yes, you'd think if be an old pro at the BT's, but after 18mobths without one I didn't enjoy yesterday at all

Good luck emmajane in the coming months. It's a relief, I'm sure, to see some desirable donors. Hope that you don't need her in the end.

Hi RoRo, we didn't have the NT screening with blood test because we'd already had the Harmony test which is more accurate so it wasn't needed.

They did still measure the NT though as it can be an indicator of heart issues and other things apparently. It was not enlarged...it was about 1.6mm.

Everybody sounds like you're doing really well on all fronts - YAY!

MrsE - awesome results. Awesome awesome awesome!

wunsi - good luck, my fingers are crossed!

EmmaJane, like you said with any luck the donor you like will still be around come next year....or you'll find another just as good or better!

RoRo - it's amazing. While I've gotten into quite the routine and am now used to having her around, sometimes it's still quite surreal and I can't believe I got my take home baby. Spent most of the day cuddling her (she had a busy day yesterday and was quite cranky in the arvo)....including a nice long nap for her in our bed ...I just stared at her the majority of the time lol. Sometimes I'm exhausted and cranky myself, but I know these times won't last so want to soak up as much as possible.

    Just checking in...

wunsi, have you had your FET yet or are you still in the leadup to it? I had acupuncture before and after mine too and I reckon it did have some effect; I hope it (or something!) does the trick for you.

MrsErinR, have you started showing yet? I seem to vary between "one too many doughnuts" and "is she having twins?" depending on time of day and what I'm wearing. Still quite a few people at work who don't know.

EmmaJane, how's the plugging away? Hopefully a bit more enjoyable with some of the pressure off.

Everyone with babies: I am imagining them all being super cute in their little winter outfits. My nephew here has about a hundred tiny woolly jerseys (my SIL knits) and they're adorable.
