I have a Doppler at home. It's great when I get a little paranoid, which is often!

RoRo, the harmony results take about 2 weeks. We've chosen not to find out the gender. The only reason they'd tell us would be if we tested positive for a gender specific genetic abnormality.

Fx for your harmony results MrsE

Hope your bleeding settles down - I know lots of women have it during pregnancy

How's everyone else? Baby z is keeping me quite busy although she is *starting* to get into a kind of routine so sometimes I have two hands to do stuff with. She'll be two months this Thursday! And is almost 6kg already.

    Time. Is. Flying!

Wow, 2 months and 6kg! She's doing a great job of growing and she must be keeping you very busy indeed . Hope you're getting some sleep occasionally.
What's it like to be on the "other side" and have an actual baby?

Harmony results are in, and we're all clear! Yay. Less than a 1/10000 chance of Downs, Edwards or Patau syndrome, and the sex chromosomes all looked ok too, so low risk of those chromosome issues.

    12w2d today.

    Anatomy/NT scan is next Wednesday.

How fantastic for you mrserinr! That must feel like an enormous relief and another step closer to holding your own beautiful bub!

So who has told their family and friends?? What were the reactions? It's such a special time, I remember ringing our family on new years eve to tell them, then ringing/messaging/telling everyone else the next day. It was so exciting to hear everyone's joy. You realise that babies are all about family and community, not only yours alone.

Woohoo, MrsErinR! So glad you got such awesome results, and you're past 12 weeks too! Here's to an uneventful boring rest of your pregnancy. :-D

Nat I've been telling a few people now - told our families after our NT scan results at 12 weeks and friends more recently. It's wonderful to see their happiness for us - especially as our own happiness has always been tinged with doubt and fear, and theirs isn't.

    Thanks everyone.

Nat, we've told my parents and brother and sister, plus I've told a few close girlfriends. We plan to start telling others next week after our scan. I'm really looking forward to DH being able to tell his family as they've been eagerly anticipating a pregnancy since we got married and they don't know about the two miscarriages, so I'm sure they've been wondering why we're taking so long.

I'm also looking forward to people knowing so I don't have to continue hiding my growing belly. It's getting challenging.

Great news MrsE. 12 weeks, may it all be smooth sailing now. Did you find out gender?
