Lovely to hear from you Wunsi. We are thrilled with our SA results. It will be disappointing if it doesn't work first time but then we have all those frosties as backup, which is great. I don't think they actually stim the donors high in SA. They aim for about 10 eggs I believe. Our donor got 12 eggs on her first cycle so I'd expect they would have kept her on the same level of stims. It seems we just got really lucky and she responded much more strongly than the last time.

RoRo, good luck for your scan. I'll have everything crossed for you.

EmmaJane, how are you getting on?

I am getting on fine thanks MrsErinR. I have been getting into the gym and really looking at using the next few months to getting fit and healthy in the hopes that it might help. I am also trying to convince DP to consider the SA donor egg option if we haven't gotten pregnant with our rainbow by my 40th birthday next year. Unfortunately he is very anti-IVF and probably isn't as desperate to have a child as me, so it may prove difficult. I did say to him last week that I don't think it is fair for me to remain childless for the rest of my life due to his moral objection to the business model of fertility centres, which I am hoping will make him think a bit more about it.

Beautiful bump! Good luck with the arrival of your precious bub

Following along in anticipation of great news on this thread. All sounding very positive at the moment. Keeping fingers crossed...

Emmajane I feel for you. It would be a big dilemma to find you and DP on different pages when it comes to the extent you would go TTC. That's a really tough one! I hope it just isn't needed...that'd be the nicest result xo

Roro is your scan today? Good luck!

Littleduck that's a beautiful bump! hope to see lovely pics of your baby very soon now!

Emmajane, I hope you and your DH can find a solution you're both happy with soon. I know seeing my 40th looming up in front of me was very scary.

I am just back at work from the scan. We saw a heartbeat! Just those few pixels flickering away made me feel great, and a bit less nervous. The nausea clearly isn't just worry . A long way to go yet but we're past this milestone.
