We have to do counseling in Victoria and it is one of the things they prompt you to think about, along with what should happen to embryos in the event that one or both of you die. Depressing stuff, but necessary to go through it.

So, we decided what we would do some time back. I'm not sure if I'll feel the same after we've actually been successful though. I'm sure that actually having a child could change how you feel.

I remember reading that other places have counselling required. Looking back I think it would've been good, not only for this, but other things to consider with IVF. I'm not sure why our clinic didn't require it, though it was offered. Anyway, just my thoughts

Well ladies, I am PUPO with one good looking expanded blast.

After transfer the doctor said that he thought there were at least 8 going into the freezer. Then when we were driving out the embryologist called and said that we had 20 blasts to freeze. Not quite sure what to say or think. I believe her but it's just so mind boggling. They are very casual about giving out numbers here so I'll feel better to see it in writing. Apparently I will get an email tomorrow with the details.

Being restful for the day now.

    How are you all doing?

    Hi Nat,

We're here until Saturday. The weather looks to improve from tomorrow so hoping we can do a few of the outdoor things that we haven't been able to do yet. I would really recommend Sth Africa as a holiday venue if anyone's ever looking for ideas.

That's tremendous news MrsErinR. Good luck with the onboard blast :-). I'll be thinking of you over the coming days. And wow, 20 in the freezer?! Even if it's not quite that many it's still totally awesome. Have a fantastic time for the rest of your holiday!

And NAT2561, about frozen embryos - we didn't have to have counselling here but we did have to decide before the first IVF cycle what we would do, and fill in a form. We ended up having a discussion about it but it was all pretty hypothetical back then.

AFM I am 6 weeks today, hopefully. Scan booked for 6w3d (probably too early to see any heartbeat, but I'm travelling for work next week so can't scan then). Wish me luck. I am veering between hope and terrible things.

    Hi ladies,

It's been a long time since I've been on Bubhub and I'm so impressed that Nat has managed to juggle her twins and supporting you guys at the same time.

I've caught up on the last 8 months. It has been an interesting read with lots of ups and downs for a lot of you.

Roro, thrilled to read you are close to the HB scan. You never know, you may just hear/see one.

Littleduck must be about to pop.

Mrs E. I have read your journey with such interest. I am thrilled your donor did so well. I do believe that they really stim donors high so that egg numbers are high so that you don't have to get them to go again. Happened here too with a friend if mine. Such a generous gift. Fingers crossed for the next step, BT.

Hi to everyone else. I'll keep a closer eye on this thread as I also lost it when a new one began. Sending loads of luck to you all.

Oh, and my little man is one. Walking or rather running all over the place and as most have said he's pretty busy, which makes my life very busy. We'll head back to try with our frosties in coming months.

RoRo, good luck with your scan, I have everything crossed that you get to hear a heartbeat!

Hi Wunsi, welcome back to the thread. I am looking forward to hearing how you go with your frosties
