Hi RoRo, how's it going? Any news?

We've had a bit of a hiccup with our donor but I think we're back on track. She didn't receive the info about the procedures and risks before she went in for her first appointment so she was quite uninformed and then started to have second thoughts when things were explained to her. So, they cancelled her tests. She now has the info and facts and wants to go ahead, but the appointment had to be rescheduled to 1.5 weeks later :-(

So,more delay and longer until we can book flights etc. we're going to be cutting it fine time-wise.

Wow mrserinr, what a lot of waiting and organisation. Being in 'limbo land' must be so difficult and I truly commend you on taking each and every step on this journey with positivity. Your bundle will be soooooo worth it!

Looking forward to hearing how you're going roro. Anyone else in cycles?

    Thanks Nat and Littleduck.

Things had been going really smoothly with the planning until this setback. We had tentative dates and I'd actually been to travel agent that day and put some flights on hold. It has made us a bit worried that she might pull out but I'm also thinking she has now truly had the opportunity to pull out and didn't. As a part of her tests she must be cleared by a psychologist. The psychologist knows about what's happened and will be really probing to make sure she's ok to proceed.

Anyway, my gut is telling me it will be ok and that she did the right thing to question it if she wasn't sure. I hope I can trust my gut. If it all falls apart then we'll just look for a new donor and have to wait a bit longer I guess.

Yes it may be a really good sign that she is truly having a good think about it all and not taking it lightly. I hope this is the case and it all works out. Exciting!

MrsErinR and NAT256, I think you're exactly right: the kind of person who asks questions and thinks about things carefully, and knows her own mind well enough to call a time-out when she's not sure - that's exactly the kind of donor you want . I am looking forward to hearing the good news when you get going!

I have good news of my own: this FET cycle appears to have worked. I got a BFP a couple of days ago and have a beta of 69 today, at what I think is 15 dpo (10dp5dt). That's lower than average and quite a lot lower than previous betas at this point, but I'll take it. Another blood test booked for Thursday. I had some spotting at 11dpo so I hope this is just a late implanter, not another chemical.
