    Default Slow rising HCG

    Hi
I would just like some help as I am really worried about my hcg levels.
I tested positive on Monday and my first blood test on Tuesday showed a hcg level of 80 which my doctor was happy with.
However I went for a follow up blood test on Thursday and my levels had only risen to 94. My doctor said she was little concerned and that I would need to do another blood test on Saturday to make sure my levels were doubling.
She thinks based on my LMP i am 5 weeks which I know is incorrect as I have a 33-35 day cycle. She has also sent me for a ultrasound on Saturday but I highly doubt that they will be able too see anything so early.
Is it possible that my next blood test will come back with normal levels?
Has anyone had any similar experiences, I can not help but really stress.

Sorry what day were the blood test? I got a bfp Sat, but don't think my period was actually due until Monday. My hcg on tue was 95, and Thursday (both done afternoon so knew 48 hrs had passed) it was 205.

So you went for your initial blood test on Tuesday and then went for another one the next Tuesday, so one week later is that right ?

I don't want to worry you but I had similar slow rising numbers with my first ectopic pregnancy when you go for a scan, ask for an internal so they can do a "poke test" and see if they can see anything in the tube.

I really hope it's not the case, but it's something to be mindful of as ectopics can be really dangerous so need to be caught early.

Sending you positive vibes and wishing you luck xx

    I would be concerned, sorry.

The actual number doesn't really matter but the fact that it hasn't doubled in 48 hours does.

Hopefully your follow up blood test sheds some light on what is going on.

Scan was ok, did not see anything but based on my cycle length she think I'm only 4 weeks so it is perfectly normal. Just waiting for my blood test results on Monday.

    Hi there,

I pretty much just went through this process. It wasn't a good outcome for me.

I hope yours magically turns into a miracle.

    Sorry op.
