    I ate fresh cut ham off the bone through both pregnancies. My dr told me it was fine as long as it was fresh... I cut the top slice off, gave it to dh and then ate the freshly cut slices underneath. Up to you though...

    I have been told that the problem with deli meat is actually the cutting apparatus that harbours listeria. The meat itself. Especially if cooked and handled by yourself should be fine.

    I'm no expert though so best to do what you're comfortable with. I will certainly be enjoying my Christmas ham though!

    I've also eaten ham through both pregnancies with no issues. I usually buy it fresh from the deli off the bone. Nothing processed and never get it from supermarkets as you don't know how old it is.
    Just ordered a ham yesterday from our local deli, I can't wait to hook into it.
    I have stayed away from salami though, up until I caved to a craving last week and bought some fresh from the deli. I am nearly 36 weeks know though so if on the very slightest chance (and my Doc said jt is only a very slight chance) it did make me sick, bub could be delivered.
