Default Bedroom size & built in wardrobes when looking at plans...

Does the wardrobe count toward the size of the room, I.e. in a 3x2 bedroom, is it actually 3x2 MINUS the wardrobe, or 3x2 including the wardrobe?

Am I making sense? Google is not helping.

Little room, really more likely 2 x 2.3-2.5 depending on how generous they've been with the wardrobe.

If you go to a display house (if possible) look at the room sizes and what they have on the plan and see if you like it. That's what we did and we were surprised with the sizes irl

Ours aren't. Have two 3x3 bedrooms with a shared wall. On the shared wall is the built in wardrobes, which is 3x1m and then divided into two with sliding doors on each wardrobe.

It doesn't impact whatsoever on the actual space of the room

Not always. Have a look at the adjourning room width, you'll have an idea whether robe is included ( ie 3x3 bedroom with adjourning 4x4 living room doesn't include robe otherwise it would be 4m too)
