    Default Obstetrician help in Adelaide?

    Hi ladies,

    I am new here and have recently found out I'm pregnant. I would be delighted if anyone on here has had any experience with Geoff Matthews or Sabrina Kuah from WCH Adelaide that they can share? I am planning to go to WCH but as a private patient and Geoff and Sabrina both consult at WCH. I can't find any reviews on them online, but can find lots of reviews on others.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm getting my referral tomorrow and have to decide who to go to !

    Thank you all so much xxx

    Default Dr Geoff Matthews or Dr Sabrina Kuah?

    Hi there,I know your post was from a long time ago, but I am now in the same position as you - having to decide between Dr Matthews and Dr Kuah. Do you feel you made the right decision in the end? What was your experience with the doctor you ended up choosing? Would you recommend them? Thanks heaps, Sally

    Hi Sally

    Congratulations on your pregnancy! Both Dr Matthews and Dr Kuah are v good. I chose Dr Kuah and was delighted with the choice. She has a beautiful calming demeanor and has a lovely bediside manner . she's v thorough and I always felt in v good hands with her. Sabrina was sick one day and we had Geoff, he's great too but I found him to be the more 'clinical' of the 2 and v serious if you know what i mean. I just found Sabeina worked better for my husband and my personalities. I hope this helps but no matter who u choose you're in v good hands. You know all your appts are bulk billed right?

    Default OB's at WCH private??

    Hi kt1977 & Sallylucky7, I am planning to go Private in WCH wanted to know on Dr. Sabrina Kuah, Dr. Geoff Mathews & Dr Mojgan Vatani. I am getting the refferal tomorrow but want to be sure on which OB i should be going to. I read kt1977's experience anymore reviews will be of great help. I have heard you only pay the insurance access, is that true and rest is bulk billed. Can you share your overall experience if its not too much for your'll.

    Thank you
    Mommytob

    @Mommytob

    This thread is a couple years old so may not get much of a review. In regards to the insurance you still have to pay a co-payment to your OB when private generally around $2500 most of them in SA are with around $400 of that back from Medicare. Most appts are bulk billed but this can depend on your OB as all are diff. There are a lot of really good OB's at Ashford aswell

    Maybe ring WCH and ask to talk to finance as to how the charges work. I am going with Ashford after heaps of great reviews

    I had an awful experience at Ashford. All in all we spent about $5000 out of pocket even with good hospital cover

    @fmb how long ago where you at Ashford. I was there very recently can highly rate it, I couldnt fault the care by any of my midvives and multitude of specialist surrounding the birth of little DS. In fact it was better then flinders private where j had my first child.

    Hi mommytob

    We had nil excess at WCH Private. We have top hospital and top extras with our health fund. That was 2 years ago so it may have changed. I'll find out soon as Im pregnant with my second child and wanting to have Sabrina again. I had lots of extra scans with my first pregnancy due to renal complications and they were all bulk billed at WCH. They have been v slow to get back to me this time to get an appt so no doubt funding has been cut 😐😡 wishing you all healthy pregnancies girls xxx
