    Default Healthy party food

    Dd1 is having a class party next week and we have to bring something healthy now I'm trying to think outside the square for something different someone is already doing fruit salad and a veggie platter
    I was thinking homemade French onion dip and sakatas, but wanting something a little more exciting so any ideas ??

    Watch the sakatas for msg or preservatives! ( mainly the flavoured ones)

    Healthy homemade dips like hummus or tzatiki or guacamole with plain water crackers, wholemeal pita bread, veggie sticks or mini rice cakes are always good, add some chopped cheeses , olives etc and make a little antipasto plate!

    Veggie chips - slice parsnip, carrot and beetroot with a veggie peeler into long thin strips, place on lined baking tray, spray with olive oil and bake for 5-10 minutes until crispy!

    Make chicken and salad wraps ( or tuna/ salmon/roast beef etc) roll tightly and cut into little bite size pieces ( sandwich sushi!)

    Crumbed chicken strips or drummettes ( kids like them cold)

    Mini frittatas or zucchini slice done in mini muffin tins
