I hear you! I have become very similar since having a second baby. It takes so much more effort to get out of the house with two kids! I find it easier to put my baby girl in the pram & go for a walk with my little boy than organize an outing where we have to drive somewhere. I know it is hard, but it is important to get out for at least one or two days a week. You will feel much better

I've found I've been lazy since my two eldest kids do housework for pocket money. Hmmmm, 'imagines life in a few more yrs time when I have four kids wanting pocket money'...

I felt like that for ages. I have an existing thyroid problem that needed adjusting of my meds but also very very low iron. Go to your GP. I was so relieved because I was told, No that's not normal to be so tired!

yes..very tired, been constantly ill with everything past 6 months...cold after cold, a chronic sore throat every 2-3 weeks, laryngitis, conjunctivitis, briused and battered from accidents and not paying attention and bumping into things, long driving commutes to work and no leave even when sick...blah....when u are tired motivation is very hard to come by...i agree go to GP and just get checked..if u have been ill a lot as well u can get a post viral illness that makes u very very fatigued.

Definitely this time of year for me. I'm usually a really motivated person but nope at the moment I just want to sit on the beach and daydream! I've also been quite unwell with various illnesses the last couple of months and I'm still not 100% yet. There's also the money worries that comes with Christmas and the holiday season, all the extra money and still bills to pay.

For the last 6 months or so I've lacked motivation, so not just you.

I'm pretty lazy, but I always have been.

I'm good at work - I don't slack off there - but at home? Yeah, I don't like doing housework, and will do whatever I can to put it off even longer.

This week, my 2 days off (I'll work the other 5) were Monday and today. Monday I slacked off with a friend, we cried at The Notebook and had lunch. Today, I got my hair done, went to some school thing and am feeding them toasted wraps for dinner... very lazy.

I think the question of 'is it normal'? depends on exactly what you mean by lazy. I think we all get the CBFs about doing certain things, but when you say you've lost all motivation and drive, does that include for things you used to enjoy? If you're honest, are your family being adversely affected to an unacceptable degree because of your laziness? One night of toast for dinner is being a bit lazy but we all do it, 3 nights and you are starting to have a problem IMO. I think it's a fine line and I don't want to just say 'sure it's normal' because I don't know your situation. If it's not normal for YOU, and there's no extenuating circumstances to explain it, I would go see your GP, it could be a range of health problems.
