    We have the DC06 and I do kind of understand what you are saying in relation to the dust. We used to take the grey part off the clear barrel, shake the grey bit into a bag and then empty the bin and yes dust go over the place a little. We recently just pulled the whole thing apart (its 8yrs old), bought new filters and it's much better.
