Dd just had her first birthday last saturday, we had a tea party theme hosted outside with a lolly buffet as well as nibblys. Then we had a dinner.

    It was lovely

Omg!! That's amazing lol. Your cake you made was beautiful.

We were thinking sesame street theme with lots of colour! I don't know many people with other kids so would be mostly adults lol.

Our first birthdays are a finger food tea (because of the farm we can't do lunch) with family. We have catering courtesy of the supermarket freezer section and I make the cake.

We didnt have other kids except my boys

Sesame street sounds really cute. You can probably get printable
Pdf's from etsy for things like a banner, cupcake toppers etc.

I took ds2 to the park for a play date and cupcakes with his playgroup friends then that evening had our family over for his proper birthday cake. When it came to his presents we just had us at home with him. My older 2 had the same kind of thing for their 1st birthdays and didn't really have a party with other kids until they started school

We had a BBQ at the Botanical Gardens with friends (with bubs around the same age) and family, with a Doctor Who theme
We had lots of picnic blankets on the ground to sit on/bubbas, food on the park provided tables and a playground next to us, it was great! We did burgers and sausages, salad, fruit, muffins and cake.

We had finger food as we don't have a lot of space for a full sit down meal!

Ours was at home with all of our family including some aunts and uncles and cousins.
We did finger food, plus a lolly bar/dessert table.
Our theme was winnie the pooh- I made the cake myself using a wilton tin.
We had a few other kids there so we did an egg hunt (DD bday right before easter), plus had a pinata.
We had tables and chairs all set up outside and it was a lovely stress free day.
